What is ERP?

An ERP (enterprise resource planning system) runs a company's operational backbone — inventory, purchasing, orders, invoicing, accounting — in one integrated system, so a sale updates stock, which updates purchasing, which updates the books. Where the CRM faces customers, the ERP faces operations.

What it means in practice

For most SMEs the realistic project is not installing a giant suite but connecting the tools already in place so data flows without retyping — exactly what we scope in business automation.
